The following tools can be used to help you diagnose the following problems:
-

running a copy of Akeni Chat.
-
show_lanconnection.zip:
this utility will show you all the people on your LAN who are
running a copy of Akeni LAN Messenger.
-
check_crypto.zip:
the application reports that it can not find the Crypto library even
though you have the Microsoft 128-bit High Encryption Pack installed already.
-
md5sum.exe:
This allows you to check the integrity of a file downloaded by computing
it's MD5 signature. Under Windows please remember to use the -b (binary) option.
This is a Windows executable. The equivalend md5
command should be installed on your Linux system already.
These tools are all command line based, so please open up
a command prompt first.
On Windows, simply unzip the file somewhere and then run the
included executable.
For Linux, unzip the file, delete the executable (which is for Windows
only), then move the xxx.zip file into the directory where you have
installed one of the Akeni products. Save the original run.zip in the
directory, then rename xxx.zip to run.zip. Finally type "./run".
